by the way- the big energy and oil companies don't want you to know about the real solutions- just the ones that can keep their status quo. algae biofuel for example gets no press, but is absolutely incredible as an energy alternative.

Decisions are driven by consumers and if you want a natural gas car, convert it. We live in a free country and the govenment shoundn't make that decision for us, we should make the decision and the market will provide what we want. Economics 101

The corn-based ethanol was a money making scam from the start. Don't be fooled by ethanol either, its the same gimmick. Brazil had FOUR options at the pump TEN years ago (including ethanol and methanol). I learned this from a brazilian couple I met. They also told me about a plant that Brazil was investigating that was really amazing- I wish I remembered the name of it.

My dad is a customer service guy for a natural gas company and he has this flex fuel thing in his work truck. It isnt hard to convert. you dont need a fuel pump, just run a line straight to the injectors cuz its pressurized. so they do have it in the states, not just brazil and it doesnt realy save money cuz natural gas is still a finite resource from the same people who drill for oil

it's called magnegas. Look it up. Look up gasification, hydropyrolysis. There's 1000s of people making their own gas. So long as you don't wait for Ford or Walmart to sell it, you can do it. |
