@Turtlechip, to both of you:You have to accept that things change: for example nobody is telling javelin thrower to go back to throwing sticks with a metal tip. The world evolves and so do sports. But this doesn't mean that we should forget history, so traditional archery still exists in competitions up to world championship equivalent.Don't say that that it would be better off without modern recurve or compound because you would deny all the progress that has been made.Coexistence is the key

This really isn't that impressive. I don't know the distance, but my groups at 50 yards are way tighter than this.

yer and far I am aware Mounted Archery is fucking hard to do!! It takes some real skills too do. I think Oplimics become blurry in some sports!

Totally agree. The sport would be so much better if they went back to wooden bows.Check out the japanese traditional archers. They still ride horses and fire arrows.
