@Baconmon - So let me get this straight: It's because they sped the track up after slowing it down that the 50's/60's Chipmunks had a slightly broken speech pattern?

they had to slow the speed they recorded so that it could be understood when speed up since they didnt have computers to raise the pitch back then

@GameStation3Another Alvin episode I remember (and haven't seen ANY of these in over 35 years)-Dave ordering a Sweetheart swimming pool and the chipmunks overhearing, thinking Dave was getting married and talking him out of it

So long ago that's all I remember.A few more episodes I haven't seen uploaded yet:-The cousin who couldn't do anything right-Lost in the Arabian desert-Alvin trying to impress a girl at the beach-Chipmunks singing Johnny Comes Marching Home-Theodore with a dog (I think) named Alexander-The gondola ride in Venice singing O Sole Mio-Alvin singing flamenco and the Spanish guy saying at the end "Senor the song is over"

sorry this ran on cbs primetime in 1961, then on cartoon network in reruns in 1979.
